Do you drink filtered or purified water?

We were wondering this because…

We know that water is vital for your wellness, but be careful!

You need to know that not all the water is ideal for you.

For example, tap water comes from rivers, lakes, and groundwater.

Serving a glass of purified water.

This water goes from pipes to other places where it is processed to make it drinkable.

However, due to wear and tear on the Country’s water supply infrastructure, the reality is that tap water has poor quality.

Therefore, processes such as filtration and purification take on great importance for your well-being and your loved ones.

This time, we will reveal everything about filtered and purified water so you can make the best decision.

Let’s begin!

Filter water is the one that uses a separation process to get rid of suspended material.

How is this possible?

It works with a barrier that traps the largest particles and impurities in the water.

The most widely used method for filtering water is absorption which uses charcoal because its porosity is very useful for trapping pollutants.

Filtration removes sand, insects, and soil.

It is also possible to filter chemicals, such as chlorine and other solvents, so the water becomes drinkable.

But, you must know filtration itself is not enough to get rid of bacteria, viruses, and other particles like microplastics.

You need a system that eliminates impurities, even the tiniest ones.

This is achieved only with a purification system!

Because purification follows several phases to obtain clean and fresh water, and purification is only a part of the process.

One of these systems is reverse osmosis, which is one of the most effective ways to remove particles in your tap water.

How does reverse osmosis work?

It is a process that uses a membrane and pressure to separate pure water from a lower-quality liquid.

And its efficiency is enhanced by including pre-filters or activated carbon filtration.

The purification process with a reverse osmosis system begins with pre-filtering, in which large particles, including large dust and sediment, are eradicated.

Afterward, the water passes through the activated carbon to retain large particles, and only the water goes through the reverse osmosis membrane.

These are the chemical substances in the water.

This way, reverse osmosis purification eliminates organic material, chemical waste, heavy metals, bacteria, viruses, pesticides, microplastics, etc.

This is possible because the reverse osmosis membrane has a size of 1 nm, guaranteeing a reliable process in which up to 99% of inorganic particles are eliminated.

The final result of this purification is pure, odorless, and fresh water.

It is important to mention that some reverse osmosis purification systems allow essential minerals to pass through, so you can have the best water for your well-being.

Did you already start looking at your glass of filtered water differently?

Remember, it is not the same drinking filter water than purified water.

We can even say that filter water is not purified.

But purified water has been filtered as one of their phases and gives you the highest quality.
